Requirements:
- STCW + Refresher
- ENG1 or current fit for duty marine medical (valid for 6 months)
- Passport (valid min. 1 year+)
- Verifiable good references
- Professional, proven longevity, organized, good log keeping and communication with contractors, excellent fault-finding abilities, dynamic & easy to get along with.
VISA: Schengen if needed for Europe and/or Caribbean.
Background check and drug testing may apply.
Responsibilities: We are looking for a rotational engineer to join our team. This is dual season commercial performance sloop. 50:50 between private trips and charter.
It runs with 7 crew including a chase boat captain.
The vessel is going on an extensive yard period in Palma from October 2025 to May 2026.
They hire a 2nd engineer for trips more than 150M offshore and usually multiple engineers for yard periods. Sailing experience essential.
10:10 weeks rotation. First stint will be 14 weeks which will include a 4-week handover/trial before rotation starts. The counterpart engineer has been onboard 3+ years.
Other: Sold engineering skills on yachts around 40m+ and sailing experience.
Cabin shared with a male crew.
Salary range: 5,500EUR - DOE
Package: TBD during interview process.
Commercial Registered Yacht: Yes but under 500gt.
