Summary

Head Chef Wanted – 75m Private/Charter Yacht (Dual Season).

We are seeking a highly skilled and creative Head Chef to lead the galley on a 75m private/charter yacht, currently in the Caribbean. This is a dual-season vessel with an exciting itinerary and a fantastic crew.

Location: Caribbean

Salary: $7,500 USD per month DOE

Rotation: 10:10 weeks

Start Date: Mid-March

About the Role:

As Head Chef, you will be responsible for leading a galley team of two. You will cater to both guests and a crew of 23, ensuring all meals are nutritious, diverse, and beautifully presented. The role requires extensive experience in varied cuisine styles, with the ability to mix things up and create delicious, exciting, and high-quality dishes. Maintaining hygiene, organization, and efficiency is essential, along with budgeting and provisioning to ensure cost-effective, high-quality ingredients. The yacht has a friendly and active crew, and you will be expected to provide balanced, well-planned meals that suit their needs both on and off charter.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Head Chef on similar-sized yachts
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Extensive experience in varied culinary styles and techniques.
  • Ability to maintain high standards of hygiene and organization.
  • Excellent budgeting and provisioning skills to manage galley expenses efficiently.
  • Excellent references and proven longevity in previous roles.
  • Strong provisioning and time-management skills.
  • Valid STCW, ENG1, B1/B2 and Ship’s Cook Certificate.

  • A creative and adaptable chef who enjoys experimenting with different cuisine styles.
  • A strong leader who can effectively manage the galley team and maintain a positive working relationship with the Sous Chef.
  • Highly organized with strong budgeting and financial planning skills.
  • Detail-oriented and committed to high hygiene and safety standards.
  • Baking, breads, and pastry preparation.
  • Passionate about providing nutritious, well-balanced meals for an active crew
  • A chef with a solid background in high-end restaurants or luxury yachting
