Summary
We have an exciting opportunity for a Bosun to join a 45m+ support vessel, working alongside a dynamic, adventurous, and down-to-earth crew.
This role is ideal for someone who is confident in holding their own watch, eager to learn from senior officers, and ready to lead the deck team with strength and integrity.
The perfect candidate will have 2-3 years of experience in a Bosun role on vessels of a similar size, with previous proven longevity of at least a year or more on any vessel. Some bridge experience and watchkeeping skills as well as being confident in operating large tenders is important —there are two 36ft and 38ft tenders onboard, so comfort with driving vessels of this size is key.
We're looking for someone who is approachable, a strong team player, and hardworking, while also being well-organized and confident in their leadership skills. A type A personality who thrives on structure will excel in this environment.
Candidates should hold a YM qualification, along with a couple of OOW modules, though completing the OOW is not a requirement. HLO/HFA or Heli-deck Assistant experience is a plus, as well as familiarity with crane operations. Additional unique skills or certifications is a bonus.
As a support vessel, there will be minimal guest interaction, but high standards of professionalism and attention to detail are still essential.
The cruising itinerary includes the Pacific in 2025, with a brief shipyard period in San Diego before heading to Tahiti, Fiji, and Australia.
