The Candidate Specification
We are looking for a versatile and enthusiastic Cook/Stew to join a prestigious fleet, which includes multiple vessels and exclusive properties. This role is ideal for someone with a background in cooking, whether land-based or yachting, who is also comfortable assisting with interior duties.
You will be responsible for preparing fresh, home-style meals, with a focus on buffet-style or plated service for the owner. Most of your time will be spent cooking for the crew of four, ensuring well-balanced and delicious meals. When the owner is on board, crew meals will be prepared in advance to allow full focus on the owner's dining experience.
In addition to galley responsibilities, you will assist with housekeeping, service, and occasionally preparing cocktails and canapés. The ideal candidate is proactive, organised, and a true team player, willing to multitask across departments as needed.
- Required Experience & Qualifications: At least one season in yachting OR strong land-based cooking experience with a willingness to assist in interior duties, confident in provisioning, cooking for small teams, housekeeping, and guest service, hands-on, adaptable, and eager to work in a tight-knit, supportive team, STCW, ENG1, Level 2 Food Hygiene.
