An experienced and highly professional House Manager is required to oversee and manage a large residence in Central London for an UHNW family.
This is a part-residence, (however there is one family member in residence full time) requiring a candidate with a strong background in private house management and a proven track record of longevity in previous roles.
The ideal candidate will be trustworthy, discreet, and highly organised, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
It is imperative that you have a hands-on approach, you are able to cover team members if need be and must have a proactive approach.
A key aspect of this role is the management and coordination of household staff, ensuring seamless day-to-day operations while maintaining the highest standards of service. The House Manager must be proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of handling multiple responsibilities efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Overseeing staff management, including hiring, scheduling, and training.
- Ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of the property.
- Managing contractors, technicians, and external service providers
- Maintaining house manuals, ensuring accuracy and regular updates.
- Stocking and provisioning for the household to ensure all needs are met.
- Handling any maintenance or technical issues, particularly in a smart home environment, must be able to troubleshoot
- Taking full ownership of household operations and ensuring everything runs seamlessly.
This role demands a self-motivated and hardworking individual with exceptional communication and leadership skills. The successful candidate must be able to prioritise tasks effectively, remain calm under pressure, and lead by example. A strong understanding of smart home technology is essential.
This position can be live-in or live-out, but when the family is in residence, the House Manager will be required to be on-site and fully available (live-in). The standard schedule is five days per week, but flexibility will be required during periods of occupancy.
