Requirements:  YM Offshore Power Commercially Endorsed, AEC 1 & 2.

STCW

Physically fit, healthy life style preferred

Well spoken and clear communications

Great with guests

Any engine room experience is a plus but a desire to learn and help is required

ENG1 or current medical (min. 6 months)

VISA: Schengen if needed for Europe. (B1/B2 is essential)

Valid passport. (minimum 1 year)

Seamans Discharge Book

Fishing experience is a plus but not essential.

Job Specifics: 

Chase Boat Captain Role: The main role will be to look after the Vanquish, become familiar with it inside and out, ensuring it is kept pristine at all times.  

Managing the commercial compliance through Cayman Islands & keeping the Garmin charts up to date.  

Ensuring all LSA & FFE onboard is within expiration dates and being duly prepared for any Port State Control inspections & Flag Inspections.  

Driving responsibly as per the COLREGS & safe passage planning before every trip.  

When guests are onboard the Vanquish, you will be relied on to provide a 5-Star experience during excursions with the help of the deck/stew. Making sure you have everything you need onboard for their enjoyment before you depart. 

Keeping their safety in the forefront of your mind at all times. 

You will need to keep tabs on engine hours & fuel consumption whilst keeping regular logs of these numbers.  

Hands on Outboard Engine Maintenance/Generator Maintenance & all systems maintenance & keeping a maintenance log.

You will have support for all the above from the Chief Officer & the Chief Engineer.  

We have a good relationship with Vanquish Yachts and a good support network through them. 

The Second Engineer part of the role will be to assist the Chief Engineer on the mothership as and when he needs you. Vica versa.  

The Majority of the time you will live onboard the Vanquish. However when we decide to tow the vessel you will stay in the Twin Guest cabin. 

Salary range: Within yachting salary guidelines depending on experience - USD

Package: Medical coverage, flights to and from the vessel, paid leave, etc. to be finalized during interview process.

Essential Qualifications

Entry Level Qualifications (or equivalent)

• STCW 95 (STCW 2010)
• ENG 1 (Medical Certificate)

Master/Skipper Qualifications (or Merchant, USCG & AMSA equivalent)

• RYA Yachtmaster Offshore

Engineering Qualifications (or Merchant, USCG & AMSA equivalent)

• MCA Approved Engine Course (AEC 1 & 2) Certificate
