Private Household Position: Live-In Housekeeper/Cook and Household Manager (Individual or Couple)

We are seeking a warm, loyal, and capable individual or couple to join our private household in a trusted, live-in, long-term position. This is a role for someone who is not only practically skilled and reliable, but who brings a gentle, positive presence and truly enjoys being of service. We value kindness, discretion, and someone who takes pride in creating a gracious and well-run home.
Primary Responsibilities Include:
• Cooking & Meal Preparation: Preparing fresh, seasonal meals tailored to our tastes and dietary needs. Must be confident cooking both everyday meals and occasionally more refined dishes for entertaining.
• Housekeeping & Home Care: Maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming household. This includes laundry, ironing, wardrobe care, light household maintenance, and keeping the home beautifully presented at all times.
• Shopping & Errands: Handling grocery shopping, dry cleaning, and managing household supplies. Sourcing high-quality produce and maintaining inventories.
• Driving Duties: Providing safe and dependable transportation, including airport drop-offs and pickups, local errands, and driving between properties. Maintaining the vehicles in excellent condition—clean, serviced, and ready to use.
• Property Oversight: Taking care of multiple homes across different locations. Responsibilities include opening and closing houses, ensuring they are guest-ready, coordinating with local staff or service providers, and maintaining high standards year-round.
• Maintenance & Contractor Supervision: Overseeing household maintenance, organizing repairs when needed, and liaising with trusted professionals to ensure all properties are well looked after.
• Travel Support: Full flexibility to accompany us on short- or longer-term trips. This includes helping with packing, preparing properties for arrival, and ensuring comfort while traveling.
We Are Looking For Someone Who Is:
• Warm, good-natured, and discreet
• Patient and respectful, particularly in assisting an older gentleman with gentleness and care
• Calm under pressure, resourceful, and proactive in anticipating needs
• Highly organized with attention to detail and pride in their work
• Comfortable working independently and as a couple or team
• Flexible with hours and schedule—including evenings, weekends, and travel
• A confident, safe driver with a valid license
• Fluent in English (French or Italian is a plus)
• Experienced in similar private household roles
Accommodation Provided: Comfortable private living quarters are provided in our primary residence, with suitable accommodations when traveling or staying at other properties.
