The Candidate Specification
We are seeking a hardworking and motivated Deckhand to join a prestigious 70M+ private yacht. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a trade skill like carpentry trying to get into the industry or someone with at least one year of yachting experience who is eager to develop their skills and gain hands-on experience across all aspects of deck maintenance.
The ideal candidate will have a team-oriented mindset and enjoy being part of a sociable crew who like to watch sports such as football and rugby together. A trade background such as carpentry or other hands-on experience is highly desirable, as is confidence with tasks like painting, varnishing, and fairing. You’ll be exposed to all elements of deck operations, so a practical, can-do attitude is key.
Yachtmaster is preferred but not essential. A background in hospitality or customer service is a bonus, and we’re looking for someone who is well-spoken, carries themselves professionally, and wants to build a lasting career in yachting. This is not a role for someone chasing travel, it's ideal for a deckhand focused on learning, growing, and
being a valued part of a tight-knit, high-performing crew.
