Summary
Burgess recruitment is currently seeking a Sole Engineer for a 35m+ yacht
Must hold a Y3 or EOOW certification.
Previous experience as a Sole Engineer on a similar-sized vessel is required.
Highly experienced 2nd Engineer from larger vessels may also be considered.
Willingness to assist in all areas of the yacht’s operations, beyond engineering tasks, as needed.
Strong technical skills, proactive approach, and ability to troubleshoot independently.
Plenty of experience with MTU 4000’s and yard periods/ major surveys.
Will be relieving Captain in project managing 20-year survey at times. Strong knowledge of ISM, PMS
Ability to work well within a small team.
Flexibility and a positive attitude are crucial for assisting other departments when necessary.
Ideal for someone who is based in Mallorca

Location: Mallorca, Spain
Salary: EUR 7500 DOE
Leave: 40 days a year

Med based, commercially registered yacht but full private. Outgoing engineer been onboard for 6+ years. Great owners, 40 days use / year, elderly.
Would suit someone based/ wanting to be based in Palma.
Season runs April to September (all dates known at beginning of year) followed by annual haul-out and maintenance work.
This October will be performing 20 year survey and QL3 of MTU’s in Tarragona. ABS class and Isle of Man flagged.
