EXECUTIVE HOUSEKEEPER (FULL-TIME), NEW YORK CITY, NY
A lovely couple (and their sweet dog) is seeking a professional, hands-on Executive Housekeeper with light House Management responsibilities to care for their 6,500 sq ft penthouse apartment on Central Park South in NYC. This is a full-time position for someone experienced, detail-oriented, and proactive, who takes pride in maintaining a pristine home and managing household logistics.
The majority of the role is focused on housekeeping; the ideal candidate will also serve as a supportive, go-to presence for errands, vendors, and overall household coordination. Run personal errands for principals (e.g., possibly dry cleaning, shopping, returns). Additional duties will include preparing the home for guests and special occasions, coordinating with principals on household needs and ensuring seamless daily operation. Inventories, assisting with the dog’s needs (occasional walks or feedings). There may be some travel with the principals, 1-2 weeks per year to Wyoming.
The candidate must have flexibility to work 4 weekdays and 1 weekend day (Saturday); availability for occasional overtime or 6-day weeks
Responsibilities
- Full-charge housekeeping: deep cleaning, laundry, organization, upkeep of fine finishes
- Serve as point-of-contact for household needs; coordinate with personal assistant, chef and vendors
- Handle errands, deliveries, pet care (dog) and vet/trainer coordination
- Maintain household supplies and ensure the home is always guest-ready
- Light kitchen support when chef is away (ordering meals or simple prep)
- Collaborate with assistant and support principals in maintaining a smooth daily routine
- Occasional travel flexibility (1–2 weeks per year, e.g., Jackson Hole, WY)
Requirements
- Minimum 5+ years with at least one previous employer in a similar role
- Fluent English speaker with excellent communication skills
- Comfortable working in a home where the principal works from home
- Discreet, reliable, and family-oriented
- Comfortable with pets and handling pet-related logistics
Location: Central Park South, NYC (6,500 sq ft penthouse apartment)
Schedule: 5 days/week: 4 weekdays + 1 weekend day. Typical hours 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM, with flexibility appreciated. Occasional overtime or schedule shifts based on household needs
Compensation: $55-65/hour (DOE) + possible health stipend
