Starting with a basic introduction to civil and criminal law, negligence and duty of care, the structure of the UK Maritime Framework introduces maritime legislation, information and accident investigation, including onboard record keeping and requirements. Other areas covered include an introduction to international law, safety management, certification, documentation, safety requirements and seaworthiness. Accommodation: • Food and accommodation are available onsite at UKSA. The residential price for this course is £1,420.

Examination and assessment: • At the end of the module, you’ll take a 2.5 hour examination with a required pass mark of 60%.
