To train and qualify Yachtmaster Offshore Certificate of Competence Holders to deliver the RYA Start Motor Cruising, RYA Helmsman's and RYA Dayskipper Motor courses at RYA training centres.
Course Structure
Much of the course is spent teaching you how to teach and debrief other students. The trainer will show you some of the tricks of the trade. Those who have experience of instructing in other disciplines will find that some of that experience is relevant, however a good Motor Cruising instructor is, without exception, a good skipper first and foremost. You will have the opportunity to practice teaching various parts of the Start Motor Cruising, Helmsman's and Day Skipper Motor Courses with regular feedback from the trainer. Day 4 of the course is moderated by a second trainer. The syllabus is as broken into five areas
