RYA Diesel Engine Course

This one day course was designed to try and prevent breakdowns at sea or if they do occur to arm you with the knowledge required to fault find and overcome basic problems to get you back home. The course also covers routine maintenance. You will work on a 4 stroke marine diesel engine. This is a 'hands on' day that should provide you with the confidence to ensure your own engine system is maintained properly.

There are no pre-reads or prerequisites but the course will require you to take part in some practical exercises. You will change filters, fuel lift pump, drive belts, thermostat, & impeller. Also carry out an oil change and bleed the fuel system.
