RYA First Aid

This one day course is designed for those who spend time on the water. It is an emergency first aid course with particular emphasis on waterbourne emergencies including hypothermia, cold water shock, post rescue collapse, helecopter rescue, drowning and secondary drowning. Includes the CAT 'C' first aid kit medication endorsement for those who require it.

There are no pre-reads or prerequisites but the course will require you to engage in some practical exercises in CPR, casualty management and wound dressing. The latest first aid manual will also be provided. The certificate is valid for 3 years.

Additional First Aid Qualifications, including First Aid at Work, is available through our partner First Aid Provider, First Aid 4 UK. These are nationally accredited and certified through STA, National Rescue Standards Advanced Resus & Ofqual.
