The one day RYA First Aid Course is designed specifically for the boating and water sports fraternity. The RYA First Aid Course is designed to cover many of the possible situations where accidents may happen that could occur whilst being on First the water. This First Aid Course covers items from how to resuscitate someone to how to treat minor cuts.
The RYA First Aid Course is useful to anyone who enjoys being by or on the water. It is also a requirement for those taking Coastal Skipper & Yachtmaster exams to have attended an RYA First Aid course or equivalent. On completion of the course you will qualify for the RYA First Aid Certificate which is valid for 3 years from time of issue.

• Arrest of haemorrhage
• Immobilisation of fractures
• Cold shock
• Secondary Drowning
• Hydrodynamic shock
• Treatment of illness in a marine environment

Useful Information
The RYA First Aid Course is equivalent to the HSE first aid Appointed Persons course, and is HSE Approved. The RYA first Aid Course covers several different areas to the normal HSE first Aid and is geared to marine users with slightly more information, than the HSE first Aid course.
