One day first aid course for the water sports environment.
What is it?
First aid training to help sailors and water sport instructors save lives. The course is tailored to scenarios experienced on small craft at sea, such as hypothermia, cold shock, drowning and secondary drowning. It covers helicopter rescue and use of the Category C first aid kit, as well as CPR (Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation), bandaging and burns. It is valid up to 60 miles offshore.
When is it?
This course runs twice a month, usually from 09:00 to 17:00 on Sundays or Fridays.
Who is it for?
Anyone using small craft at sea. This includes leisure sailors, water sport instructors and motor boaters. It is suitable for those looking to obtain a commercial endorsement.
