RYA Level 2 (dinghy)

What is it?                         

This course follows on from Start Sailing, providing more experience and giving you the confidence to sail without supervision. The course covers the basic manoeuvres required in sailing and is nationally recognised as the ‘minimum standard’ for hire.

When is it?

This course usually runs at weekends from 09.00 to 17.00.

Who is it for?

The course is designed for those who have attended Start Sailing and are looking to take their dinghy sailing skills to the next level. It’s also a great refresher for those who have had a break from sailing, or have never had any formal training.

What next?

Build your experience and confidence on the water with our supervised recreational sailing sessions and look towards a Better Sailing Level 3 course in the near future to ‘health check’ your sailing and stop any bad habits before progressing onto the advanced modules.
