RYA Powerboat Instructor

The Powerboat skills assessment is run on the first of this 4 day course; it is run by an RYA Powerboat Trainer who will test you to check that you are up to speed with both theory knowledge and practical skill to the standard of Powerboat Level 2.

The RYA Powerboat Instructor qualification enables you to run RYA Powerboat Level 1 & 2 + if you hold your Safetyboat Certificate you will be able to teach that too. After completing your skills assessment the RYA Powerboat Trainer will run the course for the next 3 days. The 4th day will be a moderation day; this will be moderated by another RYA Powerboat Trainer. Pre-requisites are RYA Membership, the Powerboat Skills Assessment, a valid First Aid certificate and a minimum age of 16.
