RYA Sailing Instructor (dinghy)

All of our Dinghy Instructor Courses are now 6 days long with the first day including the Pre-entry Sailing Assessment, this is assessed by a RYA Dinghy Coach Assessor. In a RS Vision you will be asked to demonstrate: rudderless sailing around a triangle, picking up a mooring (wind against tide), coming alongside, anchoring, tight circles, reefing afloat, MOB recovery, sailing backwards and lee shore launching and recovery. Note: These skills require practice before the event! If you would prefer to use a different class of dinghy for this test please contact Jon Curtis. Minimum age 16, but open to adults. Please note a minimum of 11 knots of wind is required for the assessment.
