RYA Powerboat Level 2

Powerboat Handling – This course is often referred to as the ‘Powerboat Driving Licence’. It teaches boat handling and seamanship together with other topics such as basic navigation, launch and recovery and emergency procedures. This course is equally suitable for novices or the more experienced requiring a nationally recognised qualification. The duration is 2 days with a pupil/instructor ratio of 3:1. No previous experience is required to undertake this course and it is not necessary to undertake the level 1 course first. Minimum age requirement is 12 years. It is also the minimum requirement for anyone helming the club RIBS.
