RYA Sea Survival

One day course on the essentials of survival at sea.

What is it?                      

This course covers everything you need to know in an emergency. It includes a two hour practical pool session on using a life raft, along with classroom sessions on the safety equipment to carry, procedures to follow and real life lessons learned. This course is accepted for commercial endorsements.

When is it?

This course runs every other month on a Sunday and is available on demand on weekdays. It is run more frequently in Fastnet years.

Who is it for?

Whether you are a leisure sailor or a professional crew member, this course will teach you the essentials of survival at sea. It is a pre-requisite for attending the Offshore Safety course required for competing in Category 0, 1 and 2 races. Our special package enables you to do both courses over a weekend.

How much is it?

£120, including a course book and certificate. This course is offered as a package with Offshore Safety at a cost of just £170.
