Summary
An active, hard-working, and eager to learn permanent 3rd Engineer is required for a globally crusing 70-meter private superyacht. This is an incredible opportunity onboard a vessel with an exciting upcoming itinerary and a fantastic family-style crew that is focused on delivering the highest of standards. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of an AEC2 engineering qualification with a good maritime track record. Candidates with solid yachting experience will be preferred but character is key, i.e., you must be able to recognise when you don\\\'t know what you are doing and ask for support. As 3rd Engineer, you will report to the Chief Enigneer and work both with the 2nd Engineer and by yourself. The role will cover mechanical work mostly but also electrical, HVAC, refrigeration, and AVIT. The vessel is currently in the Med and will cross to the USA before cruising through to the West Coast of the USA and onto Alsaka.
This permanent role starts December 1st, 2024. You should be vaccinated for COVID-19.
Job Specification
- Valid STCW \\\'10 Certificates
- Valid ENG1 Medical with no restrictions
- Valid Seamans Book and Passport
- Must be vaccinated for COVID-19
- Proficiency in Security Awareness (PSA) and/or Designated Security Duties (PDSD)
- Minimum AEC or AEC1&2
- Preferably, 2+ years in superyachting experience
- Enthusiastic, self-starter, willing to learn, fit, active, and adventrous.
- Good health and good sobriety
- English as mother tongue preferred
- Must have good written references and contact details must be provided
- No smokers
- Perferably have a B1B2 visa but all nationalities will be considered.
