Summary
We are looking for an exceptional newly qualified 2nd Officer for a 70m+ Private/Charter MY. This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and qualified OOW. The vessel has an exciting itinerary over the next 18 months with bucket list locations already planned in the Western Med, Norwegian fjords and West coast of the Americas to name a few. This is a new multinational active crew who enjoy spending time together. Plenty of sea miles and drive time for the right candidate looking for longevity. The experienced captains will give you the opportunity to manoeuvre the vessel on and off the dock.
Our ideal candidate is a great communicator, passionate about their job and highly organised in a professional but relaxed manner. Must be confident with passage planning, navigation, LSA, FFE, garbage logs and also willing to be out on deck as true team player. The vessel is full ECDIS so experience in this would be a plus.
You will have full reign to run your bridge tasks without being micromanaged. You will also be required to assist the experienced Bosun in running the deck team when it is busy.
