Summary
TYS Recruitment is seeking an experienced 2nd Stew/Relief Chief Stew for a private M/Y, currently located in West Palm Beach.
- Start date: 20th November
- Joining Location: Palm Beach
- Salary: $5500 (as 2nd Stew), TBD when stepping up to Chief Stew
- Leave Days: 42 days, negotiable after one full year on board
- Visa: B1/B2
- Training budget: $2500 after 6 months of service onboard.
The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 3 years of experience as a 2nd Stew on similar-sized vessels. You must be capable of stepping into the Chief Stew role for 3 months each year. You will join a close-knit team of 3 on the interior and a total of 9 crew members on board. In your role as 2nd Stew, you will rotate through the interior, with a strong emphasis on service. Additionally, you will be responsible for assisting, guiding, and training the junior stew on board, including creating themed tablescapes and flower arrangements that focus on simple, elegant table settings. As Chief Stew, you will hold full responsibility for the interior team and guest service. A positive attitude and a team-oriented mindset are essential, as is the ability to adapt to a family-style service approach on board.
The American owners are very down-to-earth and promote crew longevity, fostering a family-like atmosphere on board. There is a diverse team onboard and all crew enjoy spending time together when time allows.
The vessel operates primarily in U.S. waters, with winter months typically spent in the Caribbean, Bahamas, and Florida. The summer season will be spent either on the West Coast or East Coast of the U.S.
