Summary
A well-qualified, competent, temporary Second Engineer is required onboard a 80m+ private based in the UAE. The right candidate is to possess a hands-on approach with a strong mechanical and electrical ability to maintain and operate all of the onboard systems, including main engine room machinery, hydraulics, pneumatics, tenders & toys, deck machinery, and hotel & interior equipment. Reporting to the Chief Engineer, you will be required to follow planned maintenance schedules and reporting structures whilst ensuring you work to the highest standards of safety and efficiency. You must hold a minimum COC of EOOW III/1 and have considerable experience on superyachts over 70- meters.
The start date for this position is December 1st, 2024, and the role runs for 2 months. There is a possibility of going permament for the right candidate based on performance. You must be vaccinated for COVID-19.
Job Specification
- Valid STCW \\\'10 Certificates
- Valid ENG1 medical with no restrictions
- Proficiency in Designated Security Duties (PDSD)
- Certificate of Competency (COC): Minimum EOOW or equivalent
- Minimum of 3+ years of yachting or similar experience
- Crowd Management certificate
- Hands-on mechanical and electrical ability
- Hard-working individual who can work autonomously
- Fit, active, and of good health and sobriety
- Must speak fluent English
- Must have good written references and contact details must be provided
