Fantastic opportunity for an experienced stewardess looking to step up into a Head of Housekeeping/2nd stew role on board a 59m+ MY currently in the US.
This role is perfect for an experienced stewardess who is looking for more responsibility and to lead a team of 3 alongside the chief stew. This role is not the typical 2nd stew role in that your duties will revolve more around the back of house tasks making sure it is kept up to a high standard and training the more junior stews in housekeeping and laundry. You will also be responsible for uniform, inventory and have other 2nd stew responsibilities but your main priority will be coordinating and overseeing the back of house. You will also still rotate in all areas including service.
Ideal candidate would have 1-2 years experience in the industry on a similar size vessel with previous proven longevity as well as be mature, positive, a team player, have a good eye for detail and be a good communicator but also willing to take direction from the chief stew.
Duties will include:
Collaborating with the Chief Stew in maintaining the highest standards, ensuring all back of house areas are impeccable while implementing internal manuals/checklists
Assisting the Chief Stew in managing the interior team and training/mentoring stews with a proactive & intuitive approach
Leading by example and being a team motivator as well as contribute to the positive & fun environment already onboard
Supporting the Chief Stew in inventory management as well as uniform and wardrobe
Cruising itinerary is Caribbean and Bahamas, Europe summer 2025.
