We are seeking a skilled and motivated Deckhand/Medic to join a dedicated crew aboard a private yacht. Starting in January, the yacht will embark on a Caribbean voyage, offering an opportunity to combine medical expertise with deckhand responsibilities. This role is ideal for someone looking for a well-rounded position in a dynamic, team-focused environment. A keen interest or background in water-related activities is highly valued - boating, sailing, rib driving, and similar experiences are a great advantage.
The position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 4,500–5,000 with a 4:2 rotation. Candidates should have 1–2 years of yacht experience and a strong balance of medical and deckhand skills. As a Deckhand/Medic, your responsibilities will include maintaining medical records, overseeing the upkeep of the medical room, and managing onboard medical cases. Additionally, you’ll handle general deck duties, with an approximate 80% focus on deck operations and 20% on medical tasks.
To be eligible for this role, candidates must hold mandatory certifications, including Crowd and Crisis Management (STCW V/2), MCA Medical Care Onboard, Proficiency in Designated Security Duties (PDSD STCW VI/6-2), STCW VI/1 Basic Training, STCW II/4 or II/5 as applicable by SMD, and STCW I/9 Medical. Additional qualifications such as Yachtmaster and First Response Emergency Care (FREC) certifications, as well as prior medical experience, are highly advantageous.
