Burgess recruitment is currently seeking a Bosun for a 50m+ yacht
We are looking for a Bosun with least 1 year of hands-on experience as a Bosun, showcasing leadership in deck operations, team management, and ensuring the maintenance and appearance of the vessel.
Requirements
Qualifications & certificates:
- Valid STCW and seafarers’ medical certificate with <6 months until expiring
- Yacht rating / Yacht Master to meet manning requirements
- Valid driver’s license
- B1B2 visa essential
- Ideally someone already in the US
Experience & skills:
- 3-4 years’ experience on yachts in the 40 – 60m range and 1 years’ experience as Bosun
- Excellent tender handling skills with proven experience
- Deck maintenance knowledge and skills
Start date: ASAP
Location: Fort Lauderdale, USA
Salary: USD 5000
Leave: 38 days
Vessel Program and itinerary: The yacht is in Fort Lauderdale undergoing a yard period which is currently anticipated to be completed by the end of February. The yacht will head to the Caribbean after the yard period for the remainder of the winter season. After the Caribbean, the yacht will head to either New England or the Med for the summer.
