Burgess recruitment is currently seeking a 2nd Officer for a 70m yacht
We are seeking an experienced 2nd Officer to join a 70m private yacht. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with strong deck skills, leadership experience.
There are possibilities for career progression within the yacht, with potential for promotion to higher ranks in the next 6-8 months.
Key Responsibilities
· Assist with navigation, watchkeeping, and safety operations aboard the yacht.
· Oversee and supervise the deck crew in maintaining the yacht's deck operations.
· Ensure the yacht is kept in pristine condition, adhering to safety standards and regulations.
· Manage deck inventory, maintenance, and equipment checks.
· Assist with crew training and development.
· Support the Captain and senior officers in daily operations and long-term planning.
Required Qualifications
· Previous experience as 2nd Officer or in a similar role on a yacht of similar size.
· Strong deck and navigational skills.
· OOW required- CM 3000 preferred
· Valid ENG1 medical certificate.
· Experience in leadership and crew management.
· Proficient with bridge equipment and yacht systems.
Start date: January
Location: Spain
Salary: EUR 6500
Leave: 3:1 rotation
Private Dual season vessel.
