2nd Engineer in Spain

Summary

Looking for an experienced 2nd Engineer with a positive track record capable of supporting the Chief Engineer with a hands-on attitude and strong work ethic.  

The engineering team consists of the CE, 2nd Eng, and 3rdEng/ETO. The yacht is in good shape and well maintained. 

2 years+ experience as 2nd Eng on similar size vessel.

Knowledge of IDEA is a plus. 

Second Eng Officer 2/E(MN)III/3 (Y3 essential)

 2 years+ experience as 2nd Eng on similar size vessel.

·        Maintain the asset value by ensuring the vessel is maintained to the highest standards.

·        Safe and Efficient operation of all machinery and systems

·        Assist the Chief Engineer regarding maintenance, yard and refit projects and works.

·        Assist to ensure the Quality Safety Management System is implemented and remains effective.

·        Ensure the Engine Room log is maintained, and rounds completed daily as required.

·        Assist in the carrying out the Planned Maintenance

·        To help keep a detailed inventory of all machinery together with a list of spares kept on board.

·        Assist the Chief Engineer regarding upcoming surveys and associated works

Salary 5500 eur - 6000 eur DOE

Essential Qualifications

Entry Level Qualifications (or equivalent)

• STCW 95 (STCW 2010)
• ENG 1 (Medical Certificate)
• Drivers License

Engineering Qualifications (or Merchant, USCG & AMSA equivalent)

• RIII/3 Y4 Chief Engineer (<200gt <1500kW)/ EOOW III/1 (SV) (<3000gt <9000kW)
