Burgess recruitment is currently seeking a Lead Deckhand/Bosun for a 50m+ yacht
We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Deckhand to join a dynamic team onboard a prestigious yacht. If you have a passion for the yachting industry and are looking to further your career, this is a fantastic opportunity for you.
Stepping up into the Bosuns position when Bosun is on rotation, so the vessel is looking for an experienced candidate ready for more responsibilities.
Requirements
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of full-time experience working on yachts.
- Qualifications: Yachtmaster ticket (CE certified) is essential/Ocean a plus
- B1B2 visa is essential
Skills
- Proficient in tender driving and familiar with its operations.
- Strong watersports skills
- Excellent yacht maintenance skills with a hands-on approach.
Additional
- Charter experience is beneficial but not mandatory.
- Must be a team player, as you will be working alongside a team of 4 on deck.
Responsibilities
- Overseeing the general upkeep and maintenance of the yacht's deck.
- Safely handling the yacht's tender and watersports equipment.
- Assisting with guest activities during charters, including watersports.
- Collaborating closely with other deckhands and ensuring teamwork in daily operations.
- Supporting the deck team and assisting with crew leadership.
- The vessel travels with a 37ft tender on tow-sp excellent tender driving skills.
Start date: 10 February latest
Location: Caribbean
Salary: USD 4500 DOE
Leave: 3:1 rotation
Cruising plans include the USA for some warranty work before crossing own bottom to Europe for the summer season, it is a new yacht and they are preparing to launch on the charter market in a limited capacity for summer.
