About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated female (due to cabin arrangements) 2nd Engineer for a temporary 2-week assignment onboard a charter superyacht cruising the stunning South Pacific. This is an exciting opportunity to join a professional crew and play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of the yacht during a busy charter period.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Chief Engineer in the daily maintenance, repair, and operation of all engineering systems onboard, including propulsion, generators, HVAC, and electrical systems.
  • Perform routine checks and preventative maintenance to ensure all systems are functioning efficiently.
  • Respond promptly to any technical issues or repairs required during the charter.
  • Maintain engine room cleanliness and organization to the highest standard.
  • Assist with guest services as required, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience for charter guests.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and environmental regulations, ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Requirements

  • Minimum RIII/3 Y4 or Y3 or equivalent engineering qualification. RIII/3
  • STCW Basic Safety Training and valid ENG1 medical certificate.
  • Previous experience as a 2nd Engineer or in a similar role on superyachts of similar size.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, working closely with the Chief Engineer and other crew members.
  • Availability to join the vessel for the specified dates and ability to travel to the South Pacific.
