We’re looking for a motivated and creative Sous Chef to join our team. You’ll work closely with a supportive Head Chef, helping to prepare gourmet meals for both guests and crew, with room to grow your skills.
About the Role:
As Sous Chef, you will assist the Head Chef in preparing high-quality meals for both guests and crew. You\'ll also take responsibility for cooking for the crew when the yacht is off-trip. This is a hands-on role that allows you to showcase your culinary creativity while ensuring top-notch service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Head Chef in preparing meals for guests and managing crew meals on and off-trip.
- Prepare meals that meet dietary preferences, with a focus on high-quality ingredients and presentation.
- Help maintain the kitchen, including inventory management, cleanliness, and food safety.
- Contribute to menu planning and development, with a focus on variety and creativity.
- Assist with baking, breads, and pastry preparation (a big plus if you have experience in this area).
- Work well as part of a team and take responsibility for running the kitchen in the Head Chef\'s absence.
Ideal Candidate:
- Previous experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar position in high-end kitchens, preferably with a restaurant background.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Highly motivated, creative, and passionate about food.
- Excellent knowledge of cooking techniques.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards.
- Great teamwork skills and willingness to assist in all areas of the galley.
- Must hold valid B1 Visa with all certificates up to date.
