Burgess Recruitment is looking for a Captain/Engineer for the Chase Boat, (Riva 88 ft), operating in the Bahamas and Fort Lauderdale, US.
Start Date: March 2025
Salary: $8,000 USD per month
Leave: 60 days annual holiday
Qualifications:
- MCA Master 200 GT and AEC - 2
- Strong engineering maintenance skills, including handling associated tenders (Riva 38 ft and Midnight Express 43 ft).
Requirements:
- Must demonstrate proficiency in managing warranty work and long-term vessel maintenance.
- Availability to oversee a summer season of extensive shipyard warranty repairs (June-October 2025 at Fort Lauderdale’s LMC Shipyard).

The role involves full-time responsibility for the chase boats operation and maintenance, including oversight of technical engineering for the associated smaller vessels. A skipper is already in place for driving and cleaning these boats. The position excludes a couple’s role, as a Deck/Stewardess is already onboard.
