Summary
Burgess recruitment is currently seeking a Deckhand/Dive Instructor for a 100m+ yacht
The Deckhand/Diver is predominantly a deckhand function and will be expected to carry out the duties of a deckhand day to day. Additionally, this role includes but is not limited to: The responsibility for all matters relating to diving (and snorkelling). Preparation of the diving operations including safety procedures and risk analysis prior to the vessel launch, along with tanks, storage, maintenance, certification of all equipment (Along with the Chief Officer), and instruction to owners & guests. Upon return the creation of a dive report.
Requirements + Responsibilities
- PDSD
- PADI Diver Instructors Certification (MUST)
- PWC, Powerboat Lev2 or Yachmaster Offshore (Preferred)
- Nav Watch Rating
- Previous Yacht and Tender driving Experience
- Exterior maintenance, including cleaning, polishing, and detailing
- Assisting with mooring, anchoring, and watch duties
- Supporting the team in all aspects of daily yacht operations
- Proactive mindset
- Great team player
Start date: ASAP
Location: South Pacific
Salary: TBC
Leave: 3:1 Rotation (Paid 12 months)
