Deck/Steward(ess) in Italy

Summary

Position: 2nd Stew/Deck for mainly 2 guests with some additional guests arriving on and off during the summer.

Must like Dogs - shared cabin 

Med season - May 24 - September 21st - 4 months

IN COVER: Please include you are available to start May 24th and work through September 21st. That working with a dog on board is acceptable. What is your approximated monthly salary request? Thank you.

Itinerary: Mediterranean cruising for the summer 

Licence Required: NONE - Someone that is friendly, highly organized and a positive personality. 

Requirements:  Solid experience in hospitality. Not allergic to pets  

STCW + Refresher

ENG1 or current fit for duty marine medical (valid for 6 months)

Passport minimum 1 year (EU accepted)

Food safety/hygiene

PDSD (security duties)

VISA: Schengen if needed for Europe.

Background check and drug testing may apply.

Additional skills are a bonus:

Experience in the Mediterranean. 

Experience on similar sized vessels.

Typical duties:

Primary duty will be as 2nd Stew and helping on Deck when needed. 

Full interior - Housekeeping, Service, Laundry. Detailed, highly organized. providing a top level of service.

Ensure the MY is pristine and welcoming.

Ability to anticipate the needs of the family. 

Trustworthy and flexible with a can-do attitude.

Work respectfully with other crew.

Primary Responsibilities include:

-Detailed cleaning of interior 

-Deck detailing and maintenance

-Keeping the MY clean and organized 

-Ability to anticipate what needs to be done when company is coming. 

Responsibilities: 2nd Stew/Deck skills.

Job Specifics: Working with a highly skilled Chief Stewardess. 

Private program. Family use. Med. cruising Very nice family. Enjoys exploring and relaxing. Experienced yacht owner. Two summer trips scheduled. June/July and a break then Aug/Sept. Mostly a family of two with 3-4 guests coming in for a short time.   

Salary range: Within yachting salary guidelines depending on experience

Package: Medical coverage, flights to and from the vessel, paid leave, etc. to be finalized during interview process.

Commercial Registered Yacht: no private under 500gt
