2nd Engineer

Summary

* Rotational 2nd Engineer – Support 50m Commercial Vessel Landing Craft

* Start date: 6^th of May 

* Location: Middle East / Europe

* Package: Salary in Euros – leave 176 paid days (~2:2)

Experience and attributes required:

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a 2^nd Engineer or equivalent
• Proven record and longevity in operation and maintenance of HVAC systems
• Proficient in Deck hydraulic systems operation and maintenance
• Proficient in EDG (Caterpillar) – Emergency diesel generator operation and maintenance
• He/she shall be thoroughly familiar with all company environmental and safety policies.
• The other duties of the Second Engineer include but are not limited to scheduling and assigning the daily work of subordinate engineers and engine ratings, keeping track of their regular and overtime working hours, ensuring that all machinery, fighting, and safety equipment within the engine room is working correctly and according to the company standards and international safety regulations.
• The Second Engineer has the overall responsibility for assisting the Chief Engineer with the maintenance and repair (including but not limited to the systems outlined above) and, in this respect, is directly subordinate to him/her.
• Caterpillar C4.4 and C18 experience is advantage.

Qualifications required:

* Minimum 2nd Engineer III/3

* STCW (fully updated) with PDSD

* Seafarer's Medical Certificate valid for at least 6 months

* Seaman's Discharge Book

Engineering Qualifications (or Merchant, USCG & AMSA equivalent)

• RIII/3 Y3 Chief Engineer (<500gt <3000kW)/ Chief Engineer (SV) (<500gt 3000kW)
