The Candidate Specification
We are looking for a Chief Officer to join a high-performing charter yacht that completed 21 weeks of charter last season. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to step up into a Chief Mate role or gain experience on a larger yacht. The ideal candidate will be confident on deck, skilled in driving a 30ft chase boat, and experienced with towing operations and watersports. You must be comfortable holding watches and have a strong understanding of Mini ISM.
This is a busy yacht, and the Chief Officer will play a key role in supporting the Captain and mentoring a relatively green deck team. You will be responsible for guiding and training the deckhands, ensuring safety protocols are followed, and assisting guests with AV/IT systems (iPads, electronics, etc.). The role requires someone who is safety-oriented, hands-on, and able to handle the high demands of a busy charter program.
Previous experience in a leadership role on deck, with a strong background in chase boat driving, towing operations, and watersports. Must be comfortable supporting a busy charter program and training junior deck crew. Experience with Mini ISM and AV/IT systems is essential.
