Summary
We are seeking a Sole Deckhand/Mate (can be in a team with a second stew!) for a 112ft private motor yacht. Start date will be the 13th of April 2025 in Saint Martin. The yacht will be cruising the Caribbean in June, returning to South Florida by mid- August via Bahamas. The boat is Florida based and usually cruises to the Bahamas and US East Cost.
The candidate will be responsible for exterior maintenance and upkeep of the yacht, ensuring it is always in top condition. In addition, the role will include supervising guests with water toys such as seabobs, jet skis, and hydrofoils. You will also take on navigational watch while underway, so a Yachtmaster certification is preferred. If you are proficient in operating a 38ft Center Console and jet tenders, that would be a strong advantage.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience as a Deckhand/Mate on similar-sized yachts and a Yachtmaster certification. A positive attitude, strong communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team are essential for this position. Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States.
The yacht is privately owned and primarily used for family cruising, although it can be fast-paced at times. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with wonderful owners in a family-oriented environment.
The boat offers a monthly salary of 4000 USD per month DOE, full medical insurance and 30 days leave.
