The Candidate Specification
We are looking for a confident and experienced 2nd Officer to take on the role of Safety Officer aboard this busy dual-season private yacht. You’ll be responsible for all safety-related duties and join a well-established deck team of 10. The vessel enjoys a solid balance of work and downtime. The typical guest season runs from June to September, with the boss usually on board for 10-day stretches. Weekends are often off when the boss isn’t aboard, creating an excellent atmosphere for crew wellbeing.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys being part of an active, social team, the crew often train together, host Friday BBQs, and enjoy a great camaraderie on board. It’s a dry boat, but you’re welcome to enjoy drinks off the yacht.
- Required experience: Proven deck experience with strong safety knowledge. Previous experience in a safety role preferred. Confident managing safety procedures and assisting with operations including tender driving, anchoring, and water activities.
