Summary
We are seeking a versatile and motivated Deckhand/Mate for our 88ft motor yacht, located in Norway.
This seasonal position is available from end-April to end-September.
The yacht will primarily remain in a fixed location, with occasional short voyages within the surrounding area.
As Deckhand/Mate, your primary responsibilities will include assisting with deck operations, maintaining the exterior of the yacht to a high standard, and ensuring the safe and smooth operation of the vessel. You will also assist with guest services as needed, including helping to create a welcoming and family-friendly atmosphere onboard.
Versatility and a willingness to assist in various areas of yacht operations are crucial for this role.
Requirements:
- Fluent English
- Previous experience in a similar role on yachts
- Valid travel documents for Europe
- STCW Basic Safety Training (BST) certification
- ENG1 medical certificate
- Knowledge of deck operations, including tender handling
- Comfortable working in a child-friendly environment
- Positive attitude, team player, and strong work ethic
- Completion of a recognized Deckhand course (or OOW, or Yacht Master license)
- AEC1 course certification is a plus
