Captain in Mexico

Summary

Position : Captain - TEMPORARY 

Spanish/English speaking a must.

Must be experienced on similar sized yachts as a captain 

Yacht: 40m private Motor Yacht

Itinerary: Mexico/Central America 

License: Master 500+ (over 200gt) with mechanical/engineering knowledge 

Requirements:  

STCW+ Refresher

ENG1 or current fit for duty marine medical (valid for 6 months)

Passport valid for minimum 1 year 

English and Spanish speaking  

Reliable

- Leader/ Team player

- very strong communications

- strong work ethics 

Other Requirements:  Must be able to pass a background check.  

Responsibilities: Running a successful and enjoyable/safe owner program 

Job Specifics:  Safety is very important. 

Must have similar experience on same/larger sized vessels 

Excellent references and track record. 

Physically fit.

Must be able to be flexible, prioritize your lists, carry the work load. Important to be mature and reliable. 

Salary range: Within yachting salary guidelines depending on experience 

Package: Medical coverage, flights to and from the vessel, etc. to be finalized during interview process. 

Commercial Registered Yacht: No - private under 500gt 

Essential Qualifications

Master/Skipper Qualifications (or Merchant, USCG & AMSA equivalent)

• MCA CoC Master <500gt / Class 5
