Summary
Position: Bosun
Vessel Type: 50m Private/Charter Motor Yacht
Location: Palm Beach (Starting Port)
Contract Type: Full-time
Start Date: Immediate – ideally by early May (in preparation for boss trip)
- Minimum Experience Required: 2–3 years in a similar Bosun or senior deckhand role on yachts of comparable size
- Solid painting skills essential
- Certificates & Qualifications: Yachtmaster Certificate (minimum)
- PWC Instructor
- Diving Certification
- Fishing experience/certification a plus
- knowledge and practical application of ISM procedures
- Crew Structure: Total deck crew: 3
- Shared accommodation: Cabin shared with 3 others
Preferred Candidate Profile:
- Age: 23+
- Non-smoker strongly preferred
- Tattoos: Acceptable within reason
- Tender & Toys: Tender: 42’ Center Console, Triple Engine
- Duties include tender driving and crane operations for launching and recovery
- Other toys onboard: Slide, Jet Skis, Foils, Dive Gear
- Must be confident in setup, maintenance, and guest operation of all water toys
- Responsibilities Include: Overseeing daily deck operations and team management
- Maintaining exterior standards – detailing, washdowns, painting
- Tender driving and guest transport
- Toy setup and safety supervision during guest activities
- Assisting with crane operations and deck logistics
- Itinerary & Use: Private and Charter use
- Next boss trip: Possible May 5–6
- Next confirmed charter: June 2025, Bahamas
- No shipyard period currently planned
- Compensation & Benefits:Salary: $4,500 – $5,000/month DOE
- Leave: 38 days per year
