Marine Resources are seeking a specialist in composites to join an established company at the forefront of the market.
This opportunity is a varied position which will cover both composite lay up and trimming/fitting duties on carbon masts.
Marine experience is desirable but not essential.
Experience in composites, wet lay up is essential. Infusion experience desirable.
Duties:
Constructing carbon fibre yacht mast according to PHB (Production Handbook).Measure and mark out positions for any necessary routering, cutting, drilling, riveting etc.Join Mast sections where required.Using various hand tools to make cut outs etc as per design in the main composite structure of the yacht mast tube.Bonding and laminating of parts as per design.Check own work and work of other composite dept team members.Essential:
Ability to read data sheets and laminate specs.Ability to accurately mark out from technical drawings.Previous glass and carbon wet laminating experience.Hand/power tool Experience.If you have experience in composites and are looking for a role in an exciting marine environment, please apply!
