Marine Resources are currently recruiting for a number of Welder/Fabricator for a full time permanent position based in Avonmouth, Bristol.

Job Description: We are on the hunt for a seasoned Welder/Fabricator to join a leading team in the maritime industry. This pivotal role involves a range of welding and fabrication duties that require precision and a dedication to quality. Key Responsibilities:
Execute welding operations based on detailed blueprints and engineering plans, using techniques such as MIG, TIG, stick, and flux-core welding.Craft and assemble various metal structures and equipment using tools like welders, cutters, shapers, and measuring instruments.Test and inspect materials and finished products to ensure they meet strict quality standards, and perform necessary repairs.Adhere to all company safety policies and regulations, including consistent use of PPE.Collaborate with a dynamic team, supporting and mentoring junior staff like apprentice welders.Maintain a clean and orderly workspace, ensuring all tools and equipment are stored properly.
Experience Needed:
Proven experience as a Welder/Fabricator, preferably in the ship repair or a related industrial sector.Strong knowledge of different welding techniques and tools, and the properties of different metals.Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.A keen eye for detail and a commitment to excellent craftsmanship.Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Welder) are highly desirable.
Hourly rate: £17 - £19p/h with overtime at time and a half
Hours: 7 – 4:30 Monday – Friday
