Job Title: Marine GRP Finisher
Location: Peterborough
Pay Rate: £25 per hour (Outside IR35)
Job Overview:
We are seeking experienced Marine GRP Finishers to join our production team in Peterborough on a contract basis. In this role, you will be essential in ensuring that our marine vessels meet the highest standards of quality and aesthetics during the final manufacturing stages.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare surfaces for construction by sanding, filling, and smoothing.Apply gel coat, marine-grade paint, and other specialized finishes to fiberglass and composite components.Buff, polish, and wax finished vessels to achieve a durable, high-quality surface.Inspect completed vessels for defects and make necessary adjustments.Work closely with the production team to meet deadlines and production goals.Maintain a clean and safe work area, following all industry safety standards.Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Marine GRP Finisher or similar role in the marine industry.Skilled in using hand and power tools for marine finishing tasks.Expertise in marine finishing techniques, including gel coat and paint application.Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.Knowledge of marine safety practices and proper use of PPE.Benefits:
