Summary
HMG is looking for a 2nd Engineer to start asap on a 55m motor yacht, based in Australia
Salary: Depending on Experience $70 - $80k p.a + Superannuation, medical cover etc.
• Sydney based
• Live Onboard
• The yacht is used privately only for a mixture of family style trips and business focused cruises / lunches.
• The vessel maintains Sydney as its permanent berth.
• Dedicated 2nd Engineer position but can assist with lines/fenders occasionally during manoeuvring.
• The Second Engineer will work under a very experienced Chief Engineer who will offer training and direction.
• The yacht operates a with large 11m chase tender and a 5.2m Zodiac that the Second Engineer may have the opportunity to refine their boat handling skills on when needed.
• The position could suit a Second Engineer with Engineering, mechanical or trade experience. (Yacht or Commercial. An advantage)
The Ideal Candidate:
STCW 95 Certificate
AMSA or ENG1 Medical certificate.
Engineering, mechanical or trade experience. (Yacht or Commercial. An advantage)
Presentable and understands superyacht hospitality
Exceptional eye for detail
Enjoys being hands on.
Happy to assist across all departments to get the job done.
Tender or boat driving experience a bonus.
Looking to expand on Engineering skills and knowledge.
Professional attitude and willingness to learn.
