Burgess recruitment is currently seeking an AVIT for a 100m+ yacht
We are currently seeking an experienced AVIT Technician for a 100m+ luxury yacht. This position can be either temporary or permanent, offering a unique opportunity to work on a prestigious vessel.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and troubleshoot AV/IT systems, including navigation and communication technologies.
- Ensure all AVIT systems on board are fully functional, providing seamless performance for the yacht’s crew and guests.
- Support the installation, calibration, and maintenance of onboard systems.
- Assist with troubleshooting and problem resolution in real-time.
- Manage drone operations for aerial photography and videography (experience in drone flying and photography will be highly beneficial).
Requirements
- 5+ years of previous experience in a similar AVIT position, ideally on larger yachts (100m+).
- Solid background in electrical/electronic or AVIT industry work.
- Strong knowledge of Navigational Systems, Communication Systems, and AV/IT Systems.
- Drone flying & photography experience is highly advantageous.
- Ability to take over with minimal handover and adapt quickly to a dynamic work environment.

End Date: 15 January 2025-IF TEMP
Location: South Africa
Salary: DOE
Leave: 2:2 rotation- IF PERMANENT
Vessel Program and itinerary: Private, worldwide cruising
