Licensing Requirements: 200 ton License
Experience Requirements:
- Proficiency in fishing as this is a big fishing program with owners
- Some charter experience
- Knowledge of the Bahamas and the Florida Keys
- Previous experience in a charter Captain role on similar sized vessels
Job Description:
- Location: Fort Lauderdale, Florida
- Position Type: Permanent, live ashore only
- Start Date: December 2, 2024

Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain the vessel in excellent condition, with a focus on cost-effective maintenance
- Plan and oversee trips to the Bahamas, Keys, and local waters
- Collaborate with a locally based Mate and freelance Chef/Stewardess
- Deliver high-quality owner and guest experiences, including light charters
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Strong fishing skills and in-depth knowledge of the Bahamas and Keys
- Experience in private and light charter yacht operations
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
- Organized and self-reliant, with a hands-on approach to maintenance
- Flexible and professional; familiarity with owner preferences
Additional Notes:
- Owners use the yacht approximately eight weeks per year and are experienced yacht owners.
- The vessel is lightly chartered but not aggressively marketed.
- Owners value a Captain who aligns with their conservative values and preference for a budget-conscious, self-sufficient approach to yacht management.
