Burgess Recruitment is looking for a Head Chef for a 77m Private M.Y
Start Date: 26th January OR Beginning of May
Salary: €9000
Leave: 2 months ON/OFF rotation (Subject to yacht's requirements)
Qualifications:
- STCW I/9 - Seafarer’s Medical (MACI recognized)
- STCW VI/1 1-4 - Basic Safety Training
- STCW VI/6 2 - Proficiency in Designated Security Duties
- Food Hygiene Certification 3
- Ships Cook Certificate of Competency (MACI recognized) or NVQ Level II in Catering and Hospitality as approved by Flag.
Requirements:
- 1 year’s experience on similar-sized vessels or within a comparable role
- Experience running effectively and efficiently a Galley, managing sous chefs
- Experience in Michelin star and fine dining restaurants
- Firm understanding of HACCP, COSHH, and food safety practices
- Accountancy/budget skills, understanding of Excel
- Knowledge and familiarity of provisioning throughout the Mediterranean & Caribbean
- Firm understanding of sourcing high-quality ingredients
Other:
- Chef who specialises in Italian cuisine preferred
- Role involves leading all aspects of the galley, cooking for Owner, Guests, and Crew, handling accounts, provisioning, maintenance, cleaning, and menu planning
